On Friday, January 27, some of New York City's most gifted young writers gathered at Barnes and Noble, Tribeca to read their winning entries to the Youth Voices Network's Fourth Annual Writing Contest. These budding poets, essayists and authors were asked to write about the question "What is Love?" and their beautiful and inspiring words give hope of a safe and loving future for all. The first place winners for the poetry and prose categories for the 6-9th grade and 10-12th grade groups are as follows: Jahnye Mitchel of Frederick Douglass Academy IV, Shinice Ford of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis H.S., Yassier Payano of Bronx Lab School and Bella Dapilma of A.
