VOLUME VII, ISSUE 1

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month

This year, President Barack Obama declared February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, "reflecting our Nation's growing understanding that violence within relationships often begins during adolescence." He called upon all Americans to "support efforts in their communities and schools, and in their own families, to empower young people to develop healthy relationships throughout their lives and to engage in activities that prevent and respond to teen dating violence."

This February, Day One is reaching out to young people through various online campaigns to spread awareness about this critical issue.  Read below to see what we're doing and how you can help!
