Day One's Services Go Digital

Day One has launched a new rapid response chat and text messaging program. In addition to our toll-free helpline, Day One is now responding to questions online! Knowing that cell phone and internet use play an important role in the lives of our teens, Day One developed this system so that teens and young adults can find answers in the ways they find most accessible.

Using our chat is as simple as visiting Day One's website: http://www.dayoneny.org and clicking on the "Chat With Us" link. Trained staff will respond to youth with questions about dating abuse throughout scheduled times during the week. Our anonymous system gives teens access to a safe space to ask questions like "Is it abuse if my boyfriend checks my text messages without my permission?" and "How do I know if my relationship is healthy?"

Chat is scheduled:

Mondays 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

and

Wednesdays/Thursdays 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
