Youth Voices Network member, Lindsey, recently shared her story with MarieClaire.com. "People just ended up turning their backs on [me] instead of reaching out because it was something that… people don't understand," she said. MSNBC's NewsNation

On the first day of her new show –NewsNation – MSNBC's Tamron Hall invited Executive Director Stephanie Nilva and Youth Voices Network Coordinator Jean Sung to discuss the effects of dating abuse among youth in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Watch the video here.

Tamron also wrote about her experience working with Day One in a blog post for The Grio:  "Day One … made a commitment to so many mothers, daughters, sisters and friends to end domestic abuse….
