Associate Board Recruitment

In November, Day One's Associate Board kicked off new recruitment efforts with an Open House event on the Upper West Side to share information about Day One's work in the community. The Associate Board is a hands-on group that provides advice, assistance and imagination to Day One's staff and board of directors.  Members have strong ties to the community, knowledge of what's happening around town, and a commitment to philanthropy and volunteerism. Writing Contest

Final judging for the third Youth Voices Network Teen Writing Contest takes place this week. The theme for this cycle is "Rewriting Relationships." Writers were asked to consider unhealthy depictions of relationships in popular TV shows, movies or books and rewrite them as healthy ones.

This cycle's winners will read their winning entries on Friday, January 28th @ 7:00 PM at Barnes and Noble, Tribeca
