Program and development associate & Youth Voices Network Coordinator
As Program and Development Associate, Jean supports staff in the day-to-day operations and development work at Day One. She also coordinates the Youth Voices Network, a community of survivors of teen relationship abuse who build their public speaking, advocacy, and leadership skills by using their own experiences to speak out against dating abuse.
Prior to joining Day One, Jean spent six years working as an educator and administrator in various non-profit settings. In addition to her work as an educator, Jean is a writer. She has published work in Salome Magazine, Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Contrary Magazine, and 322 Review.
Jean received her BA in 2004 from NYU's Gallatin School. She received her Master's in Public Administration in 2008 from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service and her Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing in 2010 from Rutgers University-Newark.
Jean was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
